OUR MISSION

WHAT IS TEAM AGOGE?

TEAM AGOGE YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB, IS A NON-PROFIT PreK-8th GRADE YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB SERVING THE GREATER LINCOLN NE AREA. OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE ... TEACH KIDS A PASSION AND LOVE FOR THE WORLDS OLDEST AND (IN OUR OPINION) GREATEST SPORT. IT IS OUR AIM TO HELP THEM ACQUIRE LIFE SKILLS AS WE DO THIS, THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF OUR PRACTICES AND COMPETITIONS. SKILLS LIKE, DISCIPLINE, RESPECT, SELF-CONTROL, VALUE OF HARD WORK, DEALING WITH WINNING AND LOSING, AND CARING FOR OTHERS. WE BELIEVE THAT WORKING ON THESE LIFE SKILLS THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF THE GREAT SPORT OF WRESTLING WILL NOT ONLY HELP OUR ATHLETES BECOME BETTER WRESTLERS BUT ALSO BETTER PEOPLE AT THE SAME TIME.

Our Mission

COACHES

mEET THE COACHES

Our Coaches have coached multiple State Champions and State Medalists. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the sport of wrestling, but most importantly they care about the wrestlers development of character above all else!

PreK-2nd GRADE COACHES

USA wrestling bronze level certified. Volunteered as part of the 3rd team state title in a row for Lincoln East in 2003-2004, a team which included multiple class A state champions and state medalists. Assistant coach at Lincoln High School from 2008 - 2012 coaching multiple class A state champions and state medalists and two NHSCA high school All Americans

Head Coach & Team Agoge Director Ben Johnson

3rd-8th GRADE COACHES

Former head coach at Lincoln Southeast High School, and long-time assistant wrestling coach at Lincoln East High School. Coach Skiles has coached over 50 state medalists and 15 state champions as well as 3 state championship teams at the high school level. He has also won a state championship as the head coach of the East High cross-country team as well. Coach Skiles is an incredible student of the sport and amazing coach.
